Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! We had a wonderful Christmas this year. On Christmas Eve, we went to church and afterward the kids got to open their gift from us. It's always fun to see them get excited about their toys.

Norah was very excited about her lava lamp.

One of Silas' favorites is his new watch.

Christmas morning before church, the kids had fun seeing what was in their stockings.

Silas got to try out his new shaving cream.

The kids were excited to give Ruby her present.

After church, we went to Watertown, WI to see Seth's Grandma Jaeger and family. Every year they play music and sing for their Grandma. Seth brings along a tuba.

Sorry about the turned picture. My computer won't let me change it. This year they tried to get a picture with all her grandkids that were there with their number in order. There are 36 total.

Seth, #26, and Grandma Jaeger, start.

After fun times at the Jaegers, we went down the road to see Grandma Great. We were able to stay and have supper with her, Seth's parents, and Uncle Larry. Everyone got to snuggle with Grandma Great. When Norah was a baby, she could get her to fall asleep in a snap. Times haven't changed! Now we are looking forward to spending time with the rest of Seth's family after the new year. Merry Christmas!!

Winter Wonderland Getaway

Before Christmas this year, we took a mini vacation up to the cabin. It was snowing like crazy when we got there and the driveway was so slippery, that our van couldn't make it up. The kids didn't mind. They got a ride up.

The next two days were filled with fun. We did a lot of playing outside.

Lucy wasn't too sure about all the snow. She did enjoy eating it though.

All three kids enjoyed sledding.

We got to walk out onto the frozen lake. Silas really thought that was cool.

By the time Norah and Silas were ready to come inside, they were completely covered in snow and their coats and snow pants were soaked.

We also did a lot of building outside.

Meet our snowman, Olaf.

I must say, we made a pretty awesome snow fort.

The big kids also enjoyed hiking.

We are so happy we got to sneak away for a family vacation.

Silas Singing

I finally got Silas to sing something for all of you. Here were his choices. (I'm still working on Lucy,)

Norah Videos

Our silly Norah having fun singing for you.

Lately she has also been into writing little stories and other things. I think she has just as much fun reading them as she does writing them. Here she is reading something she wrote yesterday.

Christmas Preperation

The whole family is getting excited for Christmas time. One of our Christmas traditions that we love is decorating Christmas cookies. I had three great helpers, although one did more eating then decorating. I think you can see from the pictures who that was.

Silas and Norah had a Christmas program this past Sunday. They both did a great job and sang their hearts out. It was so fun to see. So we took that opportunity and got some nice pictures in front of the tree.
