Our Silly Silas

Lately Silas had been doing more and more things to make us laugh. We are seeing his personality come out more and more. Here are a couple of examples.

Silas loves having his shirt off or having "belly time" which he likes to call it. Sometimes he tries to have some belly time without getting some help. He wasn't stuck too long. He figured it out but he was stuck long enough so I could get a good laugh and a picture.

Silas also loves doing everything his big sister does. But yesterday was the first time he wanted to play dress up with her. Norah thought it was pretty funny that he wanted to wear a dress but she went with it and they had fun pretending together.

Silas had fun trying to learn some princess moves from Norah.

Backyard Fun

Silas always loves being outside. One of his new favorite things to do is shooting baskets in his basketball hoop. His other favorite is in this video.

Seth and I have been waiting for this all summer. At least Norah will be ready for next year.

Norah's Back to School

September 5th was Norah's first day of 4 year old preschool. She was so excited she could hardly wait. Just like many girls, she knew exactly what dress she wanted to wear. She'll be going to school 3 mornings a week this year instead of 2.

One of these days she'll grow into her backpack.

She had a great first day and was asking what day she goes back as soon as we got home.

Black Hawk Down at WLA

On Saturday Sept. 1, we went to WLA in the morning to see the Dobogai Memorial Walk/Run. It is in honor of a fallen solider from the area. As part of the festivities a military Black Hawk helicopter landed at the school. Norah and Silas really got a kick out of it. Seth and I did too.

They let kids go inside and check everything out. Silas really loved this.

Norah liked sitting in front more then in the back.

It was a fun morning and it's hopefully something we can do again next year.

Little Artists

As the kids and I are getting used to our school schedule, we are finding more fun things to do around the house. Lately the kids have loved painting. It's always fun to see what they create.
