Yeah!! A New Cousin!!

Today the whole Jaeger family is very excited. Seth's oldest sister Rachael Johnson had a baby today! Another cousin for Norah! Rachael had a c-sections this morning. She had a baby girl Maren Kay Johnson. She is 6 pounds 12 ounces and 18 inches. From what we know mom and baby are doing well. Norah and I want to go to the store and buy Maren a new toy right now. We all can't wait to meet her. As you can see Norah is very excited.

Welcome to the Jungle

Norah is getting more and more playful. She is enjoying a new rattle that she can actually hang on to, but she gets a little frustrated when she can't fit the whole thing in her mouth. I've posted some pictures before in her Jungle bouncy seat. Well, she is enjoying it more and more. She is starting to get the hang of it too. She enjoys it for about 10-15 minutes and then she lets us know that she's done. The time she is in there seems to be growing each time. We got to capture some videos today while she was enjoying herself.

Visit From Uncle Patrick

This past weekend was a lot of fun for us. Patrick made a detour north to Bloomer before he started his long drive to the Berg's in Fremont. He arrived Saturday night and got to hang out with Norah and watch the Olympics before she went to bed. We had a nice day on Sunday. We went to church, Patrick helped Seth at our school's new playground sight and got to ride a 4-wheeler while he was helping. The rest of the day we just relaxed and had a nice big supper. We figured Patrick had to have a big steak his last day in Wisconsin. He left for his 3 day drive this morning. We are definitely not jealous of that. We hope he has a safe trip and we can't wait to visit with him again.

Norah showing off her new anklet from Italy. (I guess some crazy guy gave it to Patrick. You'll have to ask him for the story.)

Hanging out Sunday night with while Seth was grilling.

Happy Birthday!!!

We had fun celebrating today with some yummy cake. It is Seth's 25th birthday! (Norah was amazed and in awe by the flames and was disappointed when they went away.) Norah and I were also very happy to get Seth a gift that he really wanted.

3 Months Old

Norah Ann was 3 months old on Sunday August 1oth!

Weekend at the Jaegers

On Friday Norah and I went down to Grandma and Grandpa Jaegers house in Johnson Creek, Seth joined us on Saturday. We made the trip for Susie's baby shower which was on Sunday. Norah did great traveling once again. It was nice that we went down a little early because we got to visit with the family. We got to meet the newest member of the Jaeger family when we arrived on Friday. Grandma got a baby of her own, a goldendoodle puppy named Tucker. I'll have to tell you about how we met. Well when Norah and I got to the house and no one was home from work yet, so Tucker was in his kennel. I felt bad for the little guy so I took him outside to do his business. After he did both of his businesses I took him back inside and gave him a treat because he was such a good puppy! Just as I got finished thinking how we was so nice, I smelled something funny. I knew it wasn't Norah. Tucker pooped all over the floor! Yuck! Since I was the only person home, guess who got to clean it up? Thankfully it was on the tile and not on the carpet. So Tucker and I have mixed feelings about each other.

Although the weekend started off a little rough, the rest of it was great. We got to spend time with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Amanda, Uncle Joe, Uncle Ben, Aunt Susie, Aunt Rachael, Great Grandma Braasch and Jaeger, Cousin Rowan, and lots of other relatives. It was great to see them all. The shower on Sunday was also a lot of fun. It was a beautiful day so we had the shower outside. We had good food and great company. Norah got to meet a lot of her Jaeger family that day too.

Norah did well the entire weekend. She smiled and squealed for everyone. She slept really well which was nice for me. She also started finding her thumb a lot more. I even found her sucking her thumb in the morning when I would get her out of the crib. I guess we'll have to wait and see if she keeps this up. This week we are going to lay low and relax. The only thing we have going on is Norah's photo shoot. We are taking her to have her 3 month old photos taken! I can't believe she is 3 months old already. Have a great week everyone.

Last Days in CA

The last full day we were there my dad took us to an Oakland A's baseball game. It was a lot of fun. It was a nice way to end our trip. I think Katherine andGrandma liked it the best because they stayed home and had Norah all to themselves. Grandma got a lot of snuggle time in.

We were sad to have to leave, but now there something to look foward to, the next time we return.

The Last Few Days in CA

One of the things Seth and I wanted to do on this trip to California was to go to the beach. So on Monday Grandma, Ashley, Katherine, Seth, Norah, and myself went down to Santa Cruz to the Beach Boardwalk. The morning was overcast and a little cool, so we started off on the Boardwalk. The older girls and Seth even went on a couple of rides. It was a perfect way to start off the morning.

After the Boardwalk, we set up our spot at the beach and got some lunch. About that time the sky cleared and it turned out to be a beautiful day. Seth and the girls even went in the Ocean. I only put my feet in, it was way too cold for me. Norah had a relaxing afternoon. She took a nap inside the tent we brought and played in there the rest of the day at the beach.

We were all sad to leave the beach, but we all had a fun day. We were happy that it was the perfect weather too. Norah will now have lots of pictures from her first beach day.

More of CA

While we were out in CA it was so nice of my sisters to come to Fremont to see us, well Norah. It was also nice for Norah because she got to meet her Uncle Jesse for the first time (and yes, this Uncle Jesse is as cool as the one on Full House, he plays the guitar and is in a band and everything). Norah was also able to "play" with her cousin Isaac. (He screamed and made her cry.) It was fun for me and Seth to see Isaac crawl around. He gets so much bigger everytime we see him. It was a fun weekend, where the ladies relaxed and talked, while the boys drank beer and played games.

We were sad to see the weekend come to a close because we had to say bye to Sarah, Jesse, Isaac, and Rachel.
