A Night the Ballpark

This week we had a fun night at WLA. It was Mom and Tots night at the game. During the school year, I take Silas and Lucy (and Norah when she doesn't have school) to a mom's group at one of the area churches. Throughout the year they also have different outings and this was one of them.

All the kids got to take a picture with the team.

Silas and Norah with their friend Owen, who got to throw out the first pitch.

They got to stand with the players during the National Anthem.

Lucy enjoyed watching all the big kids.

After the game, they got to run the bases with the team.

Silas was also super excited because he won a door prize, a baseball signed by the entire WLA team. It was a great night to see friends, enjoy some wonderful weather, and to let the kids run around (which helped them all sleep like rocks).

Rolling Lucy

Like I mentioned before, Lucy loves to roll onto her tummy. She is pretty good at it now. It's neat to watch her become more mobile. In a couple months I might not be saying that but it's fun for now.

She decided she needed to tell me something instead.

We just needed a little motivation, something to roll to.

Happy 5th Birthday Norah!

We got to do a lot of celebrating this weekend. Our Norah turned 5 on the 10th. She has been looking forward to her birthday for a long time and was excited to have the butterfly birthday that she wanted.

She had fun opening her presents in the morning before school.

Enjoying some birthday cupcakes!

No cupcakes for Lucy this year. But she didn't mind.

Excited to see her birthday cake at her birthday party on Sunday.

Seth's family was so nice and drove all the way to North Fond du Lac to help us celebrate.

We also had fun celebrating Mother's Day together with all these other wonderful moms.

All the moms with the girls, except Lucy. She had just fallen asleep for her nap.

We had a great weekend celebrating. We are so thankful for our little girly girl Norah everyday.

Gymnactic Center Field Trip

This past week Norah had a field trip with her preschool class to a gymnactic center is Oshkosh. Silas, Lucy and I got to tag along. Both Silas and Norah had a great time. Silas' favorite thing was jumping into the foam block pit. Norah liked the zip line the best. They both would like to go back and show daddy this cool place.

I could barely get Silas to sit still for a picture.

Norah's silly grin after landing in the pit after the zip line. I can't even remember how mant times she did it.

Silas tried it too. He did it twice but he didn't like it that much. He didn't like falling 4 or 5 ttimes his height to fall into the block pit. i can't say I blame him though.

Little Runners

We've had some fun days at the start of this month. Norah was super excited that she got to bring the her classroom's Clifford home for the weekend. We have another red dog stuffed animal at home so Silas had his own Clifford too.

We had a nice windy Saturday so Silas was excited to try his new kite.

While we were flying our kite at WLA the kids also got to jump on the high jump mats.

Silas had a great time running on the track while we were there too.

Last week at WLA, Seth ran a  5th-8th grade school track meet for all the area Lutheran grade schools. They also have a race for the K - 4th graders. Norah got to run with the Kindergarten girls

She was definitely the smallest.

But she did great! I was so proud of her for no giving up and running the entire way.

She was so excited to get a ribbon for finishing the race.

5 Months Old

Lucy is 5 months old! She is growing and learning new things all the time. Her latest skill is rolling from her back to her belly. If you lay her down on her back, within minutes she will be on her tummy.  She is also enjoying her baby cereal more and more. It won't be too long before she gets to try other food. We love our Lucy!

Yummy!

We love to eat good food at our house. Recently after doing some reading the kids and I had a yummy lunch of green eggs and ham. It took both kids a little while to get over the fact that their eggs were green. But after they tried it they loved them.

At one of Seth's track meets.

We just got a fire pit for the back yard. So the first night we use it we roasted hotdogs for supper and invited the neighbors over for s'mores.

Lucy enjoyed a nice nap outside.

Daddy's little helpers.

We are looking forward to our next fire.

Weekend Getaway

A few weekends ago, we headed north up to Bloomer to see friends and see their school play. On Friday night we stayed at a hotel as a mini vacation. They kids had a ball swimming in the pool in the morning. Lucy got to swim for the first time! She wasn't too sure about it but she gave us big smiles. We had a great time with friends and can't wait to see them again.
