Bowling Time

Fun at the bowling alley!

It's fun to watch the kids bowl on their own. It takes about 10 minutes for the ball to make it down the lane, but they don't mind.

Potty Time!!!

We are finally buying diapers for only one child! Silas is potty trained!!! We decided to just go for it and he's done great. He is even dry at night! We are so proud of our big boy.

Silas was so proud to fill up his sticker chart. He was even more excited to go and pick out his prize of a new car.

Mommy's Little Helper

The other night Lucy just couldn't wait for me to get supper ready. So I enlisted a little help. Norah loved feeding Lucy. She's asked to do it a number of times since then. She was such a good help.

Lucy had fun too. She was a little messier then usual, but she was happy with a full belly.

Walleye Weekend

We recently had a busy weekend. Seth's cousins came to to help us put on a new garage roof. They had it done in no time at all.

The kids had fun playing outside while they fixed the roof.

Later that afternoon we went down to Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac for their Walleye Weekend. It's a big festival with a fishing tournament, races, music, fun things for kids, and lots of food and beer.

We had fun taking the kids on the fun little rides they have at the park during the summer.

The entire family got to have fun riding the train together.

Once we were done with the rides, we went to WLA's tent for supper and their special treat of cream puffs.

Of course the kids were sad to leave. But they'll have something fun to look forward to for next summer.

We Love Summer

We can finally enjoy being outside. The weather has warmed up and we try to play outside as much as we can. The kids love playing in the yard and going to the park.

Checking out a bug.

We have also been able to go bowling a couple times with a Kids Bowl Free program. This game went really well for me. I even beat Seth. I had to take a picture to have some proof.

Bloomer Triathlon 2013

We were able to make it up to Bloomer, WI again for the school's triathlon. Seth did great once again. He beat his time from last year.

Seth competed as a team this year with our old pastor, Jim Strand. They canoed together and then biked and ran on their own. Their times were combined for their team score.

This little girl was great the entire day.

Silas had a great time too. He loved playing on the playground and watching the boats.

Seth finished in 1 hr and 57 min.

This year they had kid races, so both Silas and Norah ran.

Their race was a 400 meter run.

Norah did great. She only stopped for a moment and then kept going.

Silas impressed a lot of people. He never stopped and almost caught another little girl at the end.

Seth and Pastor Strand finished in second place for the men's team competition. They even won medals!(There were only two teams but they still did great and finished the race.)

Silas got a first place ribbon for finishing first in the under 5 category. (He was in only one that young who wanted to race.)

Norah also got first place for the 5 and 6 year old girls. She than faster then 2 other girls.

We are so glad we were able to make it up to Bloomer so Seth could race and to see great friends.

Game Time

Silas and Norah always find new games to make up and play at home. I discovered Silas playing this game that he made up himself.

Visitors from Georgia

This past Wednesday we had a great visit from Great Grandpa and Granny Loucks. They were traveling up to Wisconsin and we were the lucky ones who got the first visit. We went to a park, had a nice supper and were able to visit outside on the nice day and watch the kids play. We are so glad the came to visit and can't wait to see them again.

6 Months Old

Lucy Leigh is half a year old! She is growing like crazy. Her next check up with her regular doctor is next week. I'm very interested to see how much she's grown. Lucy is rolling around all the time now and "talks" all the time. Overall she's a pretty happy little girl. She has been eating rice cereal for a while now and has just started other solids. She wasn't too sure about peas but did okay with them after a little while. We also think Lucy is teething. She has been chewing on anyhing she can get her hands on and drools like crazy. We'll just have to wait and see if teeth pop up soon. I'll give an update once I know just how much she's grown.

Lucy has the best big brother,

and the best big sister!

Grinning for daddy while trying some peas.
