Winter Getaway

We were fortunate to get away this winter again. We traveled up tp the cabin a couple days after Christmas and stayed for a few days. We had a blast. It was nice to relax and spend time as a family. We spent a good part of each day playing outside.

The kids enjoyed sledding.

One new activity was ice skating. We picked up some skates for the kids. The ice on the lake was very smooth and only had a dusting of snow on it, so Seth used a push broom and created our own little rink right on Razorback.

This was the first time any of the kids skated. Norah and Silas took to it right away. As the time went on, they spent less and less time on their butts.

Lucy had fun skating too. Thankfully Seth was able to help her.

Seth even moved a bench right by the rink so I could watch the fun.

We loved our time away as a family.

After Christmas Fun

After the running around on Christmas, it was fun to be at home and relax. The kids also enjoyed trying out their new toys.

Wearing their new hats from Great Granny and Grandpa Dean. Norah was excited to hold the new hat for their baby brother.

Lego time.

Lucy loves her new art set. she draws multiple pictures a day.

Friendship bracelets.

Christmas Day 2015

The kids are always excited Christmas morning to check out their stockings.

After stockings and church, we were able to travel down to Watertown to celebrate with Seth's extended family. First, we went to celebrate with his Grandma Jaeger, aunts and uncles and cousins. This year all the grandchildren had a special gift for Grandma Jaeger, it was a photo book that included some of their favorite memories about their grandma. Every grandchild that was there read their own entry.

It was so nice to see how their God fearing grandmother have influenced them in all their lives.

Every year people will bring their instruments and play Christmas music for Grandma Jaeger (and everyone else in the building, because they can probably hear it.)

Seth always enjoys playing when he's there.

After Grandma Jaeger, we were thankful to visit with Grandma Braasch. It definitely had less people, but was just as fun.

We had a wonderful Christmas Day!

Christmas Eve 2015

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. It definitely reminds us of how blessed we are.

Christmas Eve

After church, we were able to Skype with our CA family, have supper, and then open gifts.

The kids were so excited about all their gifts from us and from family.

Silas and Seth LOVED their new matching hunting gear. Silas has worn his hat everyday since.

Silas loved his new Star Wars gear.

You can always tell when Norah is excited.

One of Silas' favorite gifts was getting to go to a basketball camp.

Both of the girls were excited for their leotards and getting to do gymnastics.

Many of these battles have happened since that night.

Norah was excited to "help" Santa with his cookies.

New jammies from Grandma and Grandpa, and bed after a busy day.
