Razorback Retreat Part 3

On one morning outing, Silas and Norah got to go on pony rides.

Norah was on Yogi.

Silas rode Blackie.

After the pony rides, we took the big kids on the go karts.

They were very fast. I think it was the first time I ever had to use the brakes turning while riding one.

Can't beat building sand castles at the beach. Seth had lots of helpers.

Nothing beats a good s'more by the fire.

Filling the deer feeder.

Boat ride with Uncle Joe and cousin Jack.

Razorback Retreat Part 2

One morning, Seth led us on a hike in the woods on some old logging trails. The kids had fun being explorers.

On a cool morning, we went to the park in Sayner that the kids love.

That same day the kids got to go fishing with Papa. Even though they didn't catch anything, they had fun having some one on one time with Papa.

Watching the Plum Lake Skiters water ski show. Silas loved watching the guys go off the jump.

Norah liked it when they did the big pyramids.

Razorback Retreat Part 1

One of our favorite parts of the summer is when we get to go to the cabin. We have all been talking about it for months.

We all had a blast when Uncle Larry took us all on a fast boat ride.

We got to feed the ducks.

Ruby enjoyed the water. She didn't like swimming too much but Seth got her to swim a little.

Norah tried a kayak by herself. It didn't last too long though.

Of course one of the kids favorite parts is getting ice cream. Yes, we did get them small cones. But as you can see from Silas' cone, they are very generous.

We saw does, a buck, and a fawn at the deer feeder.

We had great weather, so we went to the beach whenever we could.

Norah and Henry's flea market snack.

The fishing was great this year. In two days, the guys caught enough to have a fish fry for 10 people. (You can see who wants to take all the credit though. hehe)

Getting ready to go to the beach.

And of course more ice cream.

Musical Beds

Before we left on our vacation to the cabin, we did a little switching around upstairs. We now have a girl room and a boy room. Silas was very excited to have his own room where he could put up sports stuff on the walls. He also liked his new bed. Seth and I refinished it this summer.

Norah was excited to get a new roommate and also a new fluffy pillow.

Lucy was super excited to get a new big girl bed! She loves it. Overall, she does a good job staying in bed. We have had a few times where she has explored the book shelf and has come to the top of the steps. That's our Lucy.
