Grandma Beth!!!

This past week we had a California visitor, Grandma Beth! We were so excited to pick her up and go to the Milwaukee County Zoo.

Norah loved seeing the animals with Grandma.

Lucy was a good girl the entire time.

Granny, we thought of you while we watched the elephants.

Grandma took the kids on the train and the Merry-go-Round.

And of course we had to have an ice cream treat before we left.

Grandma helped out while we got ready for Seth's 30th birthday. Silas and Norah made Seth's birthday cake.

We got to relax and go to a couple parks with Grandma too.

Seth and his kiddos on his birthday. We celebrated by having some friends over for a camp fire.

A must while we visit with Grandma Beth, TEA PARTY!

Norah was so excited to have the party.

Silas was excited to come because there were snacks.

On the last day Grandma Beth was here, we stopped and visited Great Grandma Berg. She loved watching the kids. She especially loved watching Lucy smile and coo to her.

We are so happy that Grandma Beth was able to come and see us before the school year started. Thanks Grandma! We had a great time and we can't wait to see you again.

New Addition

Please meet the latest addition to our family, Daisy the minivan. Before we left for the cabin Seth's truck officially died. It was a very sad day. So we had to get a second car and a van was the right fit. We'll miss the truck, especially when we need to haul something, but we know the van will serve us well.

Cabin Trip #2

We were so happy that we were able to make it up to the cabin again this summer. Unfortunately, Seth wasn't able to come with us this time. Although we missed him a lot, we had a great time.

Of course we had to catch more bullfrogs.

There were three different families of ducks that would come into the bay everyday. Silas and Norah had a blast feeding them.

One morning we took a nice walk.

Silas found a great walking stick.

We love getting ice cream.

The park in Sayner is always fun.

Lucy loved the swing.

The weather was a little cooler this time. But we still had fun at the beach.

Papa took us out to the Sayner Pub for pizza.

Then the next day he took us to Wildwood Zoo.

We got to feed the birds.

And we had to say bye to our favorite animals one more time before we left. Norah was in love with the bunnies.

Silas' favorite was "the BIG fat pig."

Norah and Silas got to paint some pet rocks during one of Lucy's nap times.

On this visit we overlapped with the Johnsons. They had fun fishing.

        And of course catching bullfrogs.

Together we went to see the Plum Lake Skitters water ski show.

We also were able to make it to the  beach one more time before we had to leave.

We did miss daddy, but we had a great time especially with our cousins.

Happy Anniversary

Seth and I celebrated our 7th anniversary at a Brewers game. Although we missed the kids, we had a great time with just the two of us. And we even got to see a win.

8 Months Old

Lucy is now 8 months old. She is as wiggly as ever now. She is now a pro at sitting by herself. She just got her first tooth and is FINALLY sleeping better at night. Lucy also loves feeding herself with finger foods. Sometimes she gets frustrated when she can't pick something up, but overall she does really well. Next week she has her next visit to Children's hospital in Milwaukee. We'll get an update on what her little heart is doing. We'll give everyone the update once we know.

Lucy is also getting more vocal. We hear "da da da da" all the time and more and more little screams. We have also heard frustrated cried when a toy gets taken away.

Lucy loves to be outside relaxing on her swing.

It's fun to see Lucy react to Silas and Norah. She just loves to watch them.

Lucy is starting to interact with us more and is learning fun little tricks or games. Here is one of her new ones. We love our little girl so much and we can't wait to see what she learns next.
