Off to the Zoo

During one of our last days up north we went to Wildwood Wildlife Park in Minocqua. I took Norah there last year. She enjoyed herself a lot this year (well last year she was two months old and slept the entire time). Her two favorite things were running through a giant tube and feeding the animals. She would smile and clap after every animal she fed. I think this is going to be a place we will go every year.

Holding hands while walking in.

Petting the huge bunny.

Giving the bears "soda."

This is the tunnel/ pipe she loved running in.

They all loved it.

This bird house was a new exhibit this year.

Norah wasn't too sure about the birds when this picture was taken. Her finger got in the way of the food.

Trying to feed the birds all by herself.
She just loved feeding the animals.

Maren was so happy the whole time.

Starting to slow down.

Rowan loved the baby bunnies. (We didn't tell her they were for sale.)

All tuckered out on the way home. (This is also a good picture of the bug bites she got on her face while she was sleeping at night.)

First Corner Store Ice Cream

It has always been a tradition in Seth's family to stop at the Corner Store in Sayner for ice cream while at the cabin. He has been doing it since he was little and we are carrying that tradition. Norah loved it! It was like she had never had ice cream before (which she has). She only had a "little" sugar rush after :) I think she will be excited next year when she gets a cone all to herself and doesn't have to share with mom and dad.

Beach Day at the Cabin

Unfortunately we had some rainy days while we were there so we only got to have one beach day. Norah was a little uncertain about the sand in between her toes, but she had a great time.

Maren loved crawling all over in the water. Her knees were nice and red from rubbing against the sand.

I think she liked it on shore a little more than in the sand.

Building a sand castle with daddy.

Up at the Cabin

At the very end of July and into August we went up to the Cabin with the rest of Seth's family. We had a wonderful time. It is always nice to get away, relax, and visit with family. Norah had a lot of fun playing with her cousins. She loved following Rowan around. She looked like her shadow for the first few hours.

Seth's biggest fish of the week.
She loved sitting in the dog beds.

Seth's First Triathlon

The day we got home from our CA trip (a Tuesday) a friend asked Seth to do a triathlon that Saturday. Seth was all for it. He had a lot of fun. This race was a little different then most triathons. It started with canoe or kayak, bike riding and ended with running. It was also a team race. You could have up to 4 poeple on one team and split up the events. Seth and his teammate did very well. They were less than 10 minutes behind the winners! Seth had a lot of fun doing the race and is planning on doing it again next year. But he's planning on having a little more time to train next year.
