Happy Early Birthday Silas!

This week we celebrated Silas' 4th birthday early. We will be in California on his actual birthday. As one of his presents he got to go to a Milwaukee Brewers baseball game. He LOVED it. They also got to see a good game, the Brewers won!

Once they got home from the game he opened the rest of his presents.

Trying out the new batting helmet, bat and ball.

Concentrating very hard.

We are so thankful for our happy little boy. We love you Silas!

Summer Fun

So far this summer we have been having lots of fun with the kids.

We have flown kites.

I enjoy getting out all of Norah's old summer clothes. It fun seeing Lucy in the same outfits.

Silas and Norah loved playing mini golf. Norah actually was very good at putting. Silas had a little more trouble but was super excited about getting a hole in one on the last hole. He won a free game!

We all love getting ice cream.

We signed up for a summer kids bowl free program again this year.

Playing outside is always fun.

Silas and Norah love the rides at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac. Lucy didn't enjoy the spinning ride or the merry-go-round, but she did love riding the train.

We are so thankful to not be super busy in the summer so we can spend more time as a family.

Walleye Weekend 2014

Another year, another Walleye Weekend at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac. While Seth was in La Crosse for the state track meet, I took the kids to the festival on Saturday morning. It was nice to get there early because it wasn't as crowded. Because of that all the kids had a ball in the bounce houses for about 25 minutes straight.

Face painting! A baseball for Silas and Norah became a kitty.

Lucy was super excited to get a tattoo like the big kids.

They loved the giant slide.

They were all very creative making silly hats.

We also saw a magician, did the football throw for free ice cream cones, went on some park rides and had a yummy lunch at the WLA tent. The kids look forward to this every year. Always a good time.

Georgia Visitors

We were so excited that we had visitors from Georgia! Great Granny and Great Grandpa Dean came and saw us on their way to visit Granny's family. The kids had a ball playing with them and it was super cute to see how quickly Lucy warmed up to Granny and Grandpa. The picture was taken shortly after Lucy woke up from her nap, and she climbed on Granny's lap all by herself without prompting. Also, Lucy leaning in for kisses from Grandpa all by herself before they left. Thanks for the wonderful visit and we can't wait to see you again.

Memorial Day

We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend this year. First we went to the parade in Fond du Lac. It gave us a great opportunity to explain to the kids why we celebrate Memorial Day.

We had to draw a little.

And because of the beautiful weather, we went swimming in the back yard. Ruby enjoyed the pool too.

Norah had a blast trying out her new goggles and snorkel from Aunt Rachael and Uncle Dusty.

We had a wonderful day and are thankful for those who served our country and especially the ones who lost their lives.
