Christmas Programs

Both Silas and Norah had Christmas programs this year. Silas' was with his 3 and 4 year old preschool and Norah's was with school and Sunday school. They both did a great job. We were so proud.

Here are two videos of Silas singing.

Happy 1st Birthday Lucy!!!

Our little Lucy is 1! What an amazing year watching her learn and grow. Right now we can get her to say little words like, dada, mama and uh oh. She is also walking everywhere. Crawling is out of the picture. We can't wait to see what she'll learn next. To add to the birthday fun, her special day landed on Thanksgiving this year. Seth's sister Rachael and Dusty hosted everyone for lunch, and then we were able to sing and have cake after we ate.

They were very excited to have cake AND pie.

Lucy LOVED her cake! It was so much fun to watch her enjoy it.

She even got to open some more presents when we got home.

Opening Gifts Early

Before we traveled to Blue Mounds, WI for Thanksgiving, Lucy got to open some of her birthday presents early. I don't think we'll have the gift opening thing down before Christmas.

Lucy has two people who were very eager to help.

Lucy Videos

Lucy is starting to communicate with us more and more.

She is also learning little games.

Bath Time

Lucy has loved her baths for a while now. It's so much fun to see her splash around.

Talk about confused. Seth was pouring water out for her and she definitely didn't know what to think.

For Ashley

Norah and Silas wanted to send a message to their auntie Ashley, so I suggested singing a song. This is what they wanted to sing.

Watch Out!

We have a walker on our hands! These aren't the best videos, but it gives you an idea. Just last night she took 10 steps in a row. It won't be too long and she'll be just as fast walking as she is crawling.

11 Months Old

Lucy is now 11 months old! She is so much fun. She is crawling all over the house and quickly too. She is standing all by herself for a while now. She'll said up all by herself in the middle of the room. She's attempted one or two little steps but that's all. We think she'll be walking before her birthday.
Lucy is starting to get more teeth. Her four front teeth on the top are all coming in right now. It won't be too long before we have a toothy smile.
Lucy has also said her first word, Dada! Seth came home from work, she saw him, smiled and said, "Dada!" It was so cute. We love this little girl to pieces.

Trick or Treat

This past Sunday we had trick or treating by us. The kids have been excited for weeks. Thankfully the weather was beautiful and we all had a good time.

Silas the spooky spider.

Norah the beautiful butterfly.

China Hutch Face Lift

Our house has a built in china hutch in our dining room. We've wanted to make it look a little nicer ever since we moved in. So this week we did. Here are the before and after pictures.

Norah the Hedgehog

This past Sunday, Norah and her kindergarten class put on the play "The Mitten." It is a Ukrainian folktale about a boy who loses his mitten and a bunch of animals climb inside to keep warm. The whole class did a great job. It was really fun to watch. We're so proud of our little hedgehog.

Grandma Joyce and Papa came to watch the play with us.

All the animals in the bog mitten.

At the end of the busy day, Norah (with her costume still on because she wanted to keep to keep it on) fell asleep while snuggling with Seth. Seth was in heaven.

I took a little video of the class singing their song at the end of their play (sorry the end got cut off).

Pumpkins

Silas and Norah participated in a pumpkin decorating contest at their school. They both had a lot of fun decideing what to make and painting their pumkins.

Silas and his monster.

Norah and Hello Kitty. She won a "Cute Award" and got a ribbon.

Carving pumpkins at home!

Lucy had fun watching untill bedtime.

Norah's scary face, Lucy's butterfly and Silas' monster truck.

The kids had a blast taking them outside and watching them in the dark.
