Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from the Jaegers! This year we stayed close to home. We would have gone to CA to be with the Bergs but flying with a month old baby during cold and flu season didn't sound like a fun idea to us. But we are hoping to go out and visit around Easter time. Christmas Eve we went to our church, had a yummy supper and opened gifts with the kids. It's always fun to see how excited they get and how much they appreciate their gifts. Christmas day the kids got to open their stockings from Santa, we went to church and then headed to Ixonia to see Seth's Grandma Jaeger and family. We were also lucky to visit with Seth's Grandma Braasch. It's always nice to see family and we get to see more when we celebrate with the Jaeger family on New Years. We have been greatly blessed this year in many ways. And we can't wait to see how our 3 greatest blessings grow up and change in the next year.

Christmas Eve

Norah and Silas had a ball opening gifts. They also thought it was fun helping Lucy open her gifts.

Pretty little Lucy.

Thank you Great Grandpa and Granny for the nice pajamas.

Playing with new gifts.

Here are two videos we got of the kids opening some gifts.

Bath Time

Lucy is getting bigger and bigger. When she was about 2 weeks old, she was able to have her first real bath in her bath tub. She did great. Not even a little whimper. Silas and Norah had fun watching and were talking to her the entire time.

Getting ready for her bath with daddy.

She loved it, well she tolerated it.

After the bigger kids were done watching they had fun brushing their teeth.

Silas has recently started showing a little interest in potty training. So Seth and I are excited, way more excited then Silas at this point. We took Silas to the store to pick out big boy underpants. He picked out Spiderman. We haven't really started yet but we hope to soon.

Snow Day

Recently we had a huge snow fall. Both Norah and Seth had a snow day from school.  So we spent the day relaxing inside. I think we got 12 to 15 inches of snow. Seth took the bigger kids out to play in the snow. They had a ball. Since then they have been able to play out in the snow a couple times. Although the cold isn't that fun the snow sure is pretty.

Lucy and I relaxed inside while everyone else was outside.

Lucy's Baptism

On Sunday December 9th, Lucy became one of Jesus' little lambs. She was babptized at our church St. Paul's in North Fond du Lac. We were so blessed to have many family members drive in the snow to be with us to help us celebrate. We are also thankful for our other family members who couldn't make it but had little Lucy in their prayers that day.

Lucy with one of her godparents Uncle PJ Berg. Lucy's other god parents are her aunt and uncle Amanda and Joe Buerger. Lucy gets her middle name from her godmother Amanda Leigh.

A picture with Pastor Kampmann who baptized Lucy.

Lucy with her Grandma Great.

Lucy was able to wear the same baptismal dress as her sister Norah, her mom and Grandma Beth. Her auntie on the Berg side and her cousins the Phillips girls also wore this dress.

Silas had fun playing out in the snow later that day with Seth. There wasn't much snow but there was enough wet snow to make a snowman. Unfortunately it fell over during the night so we didn't get a picture.

That night Norah had fun putting her legos together from her Uncle PJ.

We had a wonderful day.

Preschool Christmas Service

On Sunday, Norah had her preschool Christmas service at church. Seth and I had some proud parent moments while we were watching. Norah knew all the words to all the songs and all her recitations. She was one of the 4 year old girls who was put inbetween a bunch of 3 year olds to help them sing along. You could tell she was really concentrating and doing her best. I was able to get videos of two of the songs. We are definately proud of our little angel.

Christmas Came Early

We were so lucky to have another visitor from California, Uncle PJ, or as Silas would say "Uncle Pay Day." Norah and Silas had a ball playing with him and using him like a jungle gym. Lucy was also happy to meet one of her godparents.

Because Grandma Beth and Uncle PJ were here, they gave the kids their Christmas presents early. Here are Norah and Silas showing off their new pajamas.

All the kids loved their gifts and had a great time playing with them. They are getting played with everyday. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle PJ.

Bath Time

Bath time at our house is always a fun time. Now it is giong to take a little longer now that Lucy is here, which is fine with us.

Lucy did really well with her sponge bath. She didn't like all of it though.

But once she was done and all wrapped up she was a content baby again.

Happy and clean little girl.

Getting Settled and Ready for Christmas

I must say it was so nice to get home from the hospital. It's way more fun to have everyone at home. The whole family is starting to get used to having a new baby around. Both Norah and Silas love having Lucy around. They both love holding her and they have even fought over who got to throw away her dirty diaper. (We know that one isn't going to last for long.)

We also started to get our house ready for Christmas. Seth already put the lights on the house outside. And we even had time to go and pick out our Christmas tree before Grandma Beth came to visit us.

We have a Nativity scene for the kids that they can play with. They've had fun letting everyone visit baby Jesus.

We were so happy that Grandma Beth came to visit for a week.

After a few days of having the Christmas tree up in the living room, we fnally got it decorated.

Lucy had fun watching :)

Another thing we did to get ready was make sugar cookies. I had some great helpers.

We had a good time decorating. And I even think more frostimg made it on the cookies then in the kids mouths.

Everone is getting settled and loves that Lucy is home, even Cash.
