Lots of Boxes

This is just an example of one of our packed boxes. Norah loves to help pack a box and add a little something extra to it. I think the people who help us move will get a kick out of it.

Beating the Heat

We're bringing in summer with a bang. It was a very cold spring and now the heat has finally come. It has been very warm here. So one day we decided to cool down in the pool.

Silas is 11 Months Old!

Our little man is 11 months old! He is starting to entertain us a lot more. He is starting to have his own little words for things. And of course his first little word was Cash. I guess the dog is more important than mom and dad. But he also has his own little words for nose, mouth, and amen. Seth also just taught him how to say uh-oh. It's really cute. Another thing that is exciting is we have forward movement! He is now scooting around the floor. He really enjoys it. We're just hoping he waits till we are a little more settled at the new house before he starts crawling like crazy. We are also waiting for a couple more teeth to come in. We'll have a toothy grin in no time. Let the count down start till is a big 1 year old.

Here are some fun videos on how he moves around.

Getting Ready to Move

This past weekend we headed back over to the new house to do some more work before we move in. We were happy that Seth's parents adn Grandma Braasch were able to come up and give us a hand with some work and also watching the kids. We were able to get a lot done, but of course there is a lot more to be done. Each time we make our way over there we get more and more excited about moving in and making it feel like home.

On Monday we had a picnic lunch outside. Silas really enjoyed the meal. So much so that he decided to rub it all over his face, hair, arms and where ever else he could reach. And since I hadn't cleaned the tub out yet and it was warm out we made a tub outside.

We did feel a little redneckish. I wonder what they neighbors thought.

The previous owner was a bit of a pack rat. There was junk stuffed everywhere, basement, garage, crawl spaces. You name it, there was junk. This is after Seth had to go in the crawl space under the porch to put in the dog fence. The picute doesn't do it justice. He was a lot dirtier in person.

These are the days I am very thankful to have a wonderful husband. (And yes, that is a dead bug in his hair, yuck!)

Bloomer Spartan Triathlon

On May 21, the school hosted it's first triathlon. It was a great success. They did it to raise money for playground equipment. Through this event they had 45 participants and ended up raising $1000! Which isn't bad for it's first year. Seth was the master mind behind it all. He organized the whole thing. He had it planned out and all the volunteers ready so that he could participate too. He did a great job. It was fun to cheer him on as well as his brother Ben and friend Mike Smith who came to participate as well. We're hoping we can come back next year to do it again.

He was the first kayak to finish.

Silas enjoyed the first part of the race with his eyes closed.

Norah had a blast during the race too. Whether is was hitting a tree with sticks with her friend Sophie or playing on the playground equipment, she never stopped moving.

Roller Skaters

Norah got a pair of roller blades for her birthday from uncle PJ. She loves them. She wasn't even bother her when she would fall down. But it did bug Silas. He cryed and screamed whenever she fell. It was kind of cute but I also felt bad for him at the same time. Norah also calls them her roller skaters. Not roller blades or skates, but skaters. Super cute. Thanks uncle PJ!!!
