Christmas Here We Come

Not much is new here. Just LOTS of snow and very cold. We had a storm last weekend that brought us about 20 inches of snow! We are getting ready for our Christmas travels to California and sourthern Wisconsin. We are very excited to see all of our families this year.

Sorry for the blurry pictures.

Helpful Hunter

Seth loves hunting, as we all know. And he loves helping and hunting with other. This past weekend his cousin Scott Jaeger came and stayed with us to go hunting with him. Seth set Scott up in a good stand and he shot a huge 7 point buck. After helping him track the deer literally all day, they caught up with it and brought it home. We forgot to get a picture of the two of them with the deer but here is Scott with it. Seth was so excited for his cousin. It's lots of fun to see someone get a great deer.

Norah Loves Videos

While Silas was napping this morning, Norah and I looked at our favorite blogs (Norah's is our blog because she can watch herself). Her favorite thing is to watch the videos. She wanted to have another video to watch. So I suggested singing a song.

Dancing

I love finding little surprises in the morning. I left the room for a minute to put something away and I come back to find this. So fun!

Yummy Cereal

Our little man is growing and growing. So much so that he is keeping mommy up too much at night. So we are trying some cereal to see it that helps him stay full a little longer. He first tried rice cereal on Tuesday November 23. He did really well. We're hoping this will help mommy and Silas sleep a little better. It's crazy to think that Silas is old enough for cereal already.

Thanksgiving and Madison Children's "Zoozeum"

This year we had Thanksgiving at Seth's sister's house in Mount Horeb, WI. It was a blast. Norah had a great time playing with her cousins and Silas was smiley as always. I think he liked the attention from his cousins. It is always great to get together with family.

Watching Beauty and the Beast.

Little Jackson with Grandma Great.

All of the 2010 babies. Gideon, Jackson, and Silas.

Silas and Gideon are less than 2 weeks apart.

We love our Papa.

Rowan loved holding Silas.

The girls had a blast in the tub with all the bubbles.

These next pictures were taken at the Madison Children's Museum or Zoozeum as Norah calls it. We went with auntie Rachael, Rowan and Maren. It was about a block away from the capitol building. Norah liked looking at the capitol. She said, "It looks like a castle!" Silas came along for the ride and was a good boy the entire time.

This video was taken the morning before we left for the museum. Silas was a popular man that morning. Notice the words "street" and "scream" added in the right spots.

Rowan and Norah built a fort.

The kids had fun on the gerbil wheel. Maren and Norah were a little too slow I think, but they were both all smiles when they got out.

Video Time

Here are a couple videos we've taken lately.

Silas is getting stronger all the time. Here is an example while holding Seth's hands.

Norah has been very into Christmas music lately. So we've been teaching her different songs. Here is one of her favorites.

Silas loves his big sister. They had been playing this game for a while before I got out the camera. And of course it isn't as good as it was when they first started playing, but you'll get the idea.

Happy 99th Birthday Papa Charley!!!

This past weekend the kids and I were able to go down to Arkansas to help our Papa Charley celebrate his 99th birthday. He is my great grandpa and Norah and Silas' great great grandpa. After almost getting stuck in Minneapolis and Chicago we made it. We had a lot of fun. One of my favorite things about the trip was whenever we would go over to Papa Charley's or meet him somewhere, Norah would run up to him and give him a big hug. It was the sweetest thing. Norah said her favorite part of the trip was playing with her cousins and with Papa Charley.

Granny and Great Grandpa gave Papa Charley a birthday party in between services at his church. It was great to see all the people that love Gramps as much as we do.

A little candy helped the kids wait for their turn to get some birthday cake.

All the cousins played so well together.

The kids with their great grandpa and their great great grandpa.

Granny brought play dough for the kids to play with. They loved it.
