Henry's Baptism

This weekend we were on the road. We were off to Appleton again to visit Henry, Ben and Susie. We got to visit with them for a while on Saturday and then on Sunday, Henry became a Child of God through Holy Baptism. Seth and I were both very honored to be two of his god-parents. It was very nice to see our family and visit with them into the afternoon on Sunday. We're excited because we even get to see most of them again next weekend for a Jaeger wedding in Mankato, MN. Seth's cousin Jake is getting to a great girl named Jamie. So we'll be traveling again. So this week we are just hanging out at home and relaxing before the next trip.

Hanging out on Saturday.

Henry with his parents and god-parents. Bethal Boeder, Susie's sister, is next to her. Her husband who is also a god-parent couldn't make it on Sunday.

Meeting Henry Gilbert

This past Saturday we decided to take a day trip to go meet Henry. We couldn't wait till his baptism next week. It was nice because not only did we get to see Ben, Susie, and Henry but we also got to see Great Grandma Braasch, Grandma Joyce, and Grandpa Jaeger. It was fun to visit with all of them. And of course Norah was completely content to sit with Great Grandma for the majority of the time. It's interesting to see all these new babies and think that Norah was that little. We just know that Rowan, Norah, Maren, and Henry are all going to keep us on our toes when we all get together.

O' Henry

No, Norah isn't eating candy yet. But she does have another little cousin!!!!! Ben and Susie Jaeger had a little baby boy yesterday afternoon. His name is Henry Gilbert Jaeger. He was 8 lbs 8 oz and 21 inches long. Mom and baby are doing well. We are very excited to meet him! Norah is very excited as well because now she has two girl cousins and two boy cousins.

Here is a picture of little Henry that I stole from Ben's Facebook pictures that he posted. Yeah!

Boo Shots, Yeah High Chair

Yesterday Seth and I decided that it was time to bring up a new piece of baby furniture from the basement, Norah's high chair. We want her to get used to sitting in it and she also likes to sit up but she can't do it on her own yet. She enjoyed it. We do think she looks really tiny in it though compared to Isaac who was the last little one we saw in a high chair.

Today Norah had her 4 month check up. She was an excellent little girl. She was happy and content while we were waiting for the doctor and while the doctor was there. We also have proof now that she is growing. Now she is 24 1/2 inches and she weighs 13 pounds. The only part that wasn't fun was when she was getting her shots. She did much better this time. I guess it helps not to have x-rays before. Not only did I feel bad that she was getting shots (don't worry I didn't cry this time) but the nurse that gave the shots was sooooo slow putting the band aids on. Poor little Norah was crying from the shots and then was bleeding because the nurse "forgot" that band aids are sticky and that they could stick to her hands and the table. But once the band aids were on and I could pick Norah up it didn't take her too long to settle down after which was nice. She was a little grumpy the rest of the day but I don't blame her. But we did have some fun.

Norah was chewing on her new monkey toy from Grandma Berg and I thought she looked like Grandma Joyce's new puppy Tucker. So I started growling like a puppy. (Well, it kind of sounds like a pirate, but Norah doesn't know the difference.) This is what happened.

Having a Good Time

Norah loves her dad, but likes to see him in pain. (I think that twisted humor comes from the Berg side.)

4 Months Old

Yesterday, on September 10, Norah was 4 months old. I can't believe it. She is such a good girl. She is happy and playful most of the time which is really nice when she's alone at home with mom. Lately it is really fun to see her face once Seth's home from school. She just lights up, it's so cute. Unfortunately, now that she is 4 months that means that I have to take her back to the doctor for more shots :( and this time Seth can't go with because he will be in school. At least this time she won't have to have x-rays before her shots. That might make it a little better, I hope. I took a bunch of pictures of her yesterday for all to enjoy.

Grandma Joyce, Norah loves her kitten. (Sorry Grandpa Berg.)

Where does she belong?

Santa's Helper or a "Klan" member? You decide.
(Seth thought either would work.)

A Few Videos

Norah found something new and fun to do.

She looks very surprised when she turns on the music.

Maren Kay's Baptism

We were traveling again this past weekend. We headed to the Madison area to see the Johnson family, well Maren, because she was getting baptized. Seth and I were extra excited because we are two of Maren's three god-parents. The other is one of Dusty's brothers named Rod. She had a private baptism at her church in Verona, WI on Saturday so her whole family could be there.

Once we were finished at church everyone went to the Johnson's in Mount Horeb. We all got to relax and visit. We also had a wonderful supper. It was great to spend time with everyone. And we all plan on seeing each other in a couple weeks for the baptism of Ben and Susie's little one. Yeah, more cousins!!!
