Thanks Granny and Grandpa

Earlier this week Norah got to open a Christmas present from Great Granny and Great Grandpa Loucks (with a little help from Dad). She got a beautiful ornament. I must say the wrapping paper and ribbon were very fun. Norah played with it for a good half an hour after she opened her gift. Thank you Great Granny and Great Grandpa!!

Norah isn't crawling yet but we're getting closer. When she's in the kitchen on the smooth floor she pushes or slides herself backwards. She not very fast, but all of a sudden you realize "How did she get in the corner?"

I captured Norah doing her newest favorite thing to do. When you're talking or just looking at her, she tilts her head to the left and gives you a sweet look or just smiles at you. Sometimes she'll even do it over and over copying you when you do it. It's very fun to see.

A Good Day

You know it's a good Sunday afternoon when a dad can take a snuggle nap with his little girl on the couch.

7 Months Old

On the 10th Norah was officially 7 months old. She is growing and learning quickly. She's eating all sorts of solid foods, some mashed up and some not. She is sitting up by herself like a pro, but isn't quite scooting or crawling around. Seth and I are having lots of fun playing and snuggling with her.

Computer Fun

Norah is always a good girl. She even finds fun things to do while mom is sitting at the computer. (This picture made me think about the song "I Caught a Little Baby Bumble Bee.")

Getting Ready for Christmas

Well, the weather here in Bloomer has been getting ready for a cold Christmas. It was below 0 with the wind chill today. Yuck! But our house is all decorated inside and out. Norah likes the Christmas tree. She enjoys hitting the branches and watching them bounce up and down. Hopefully she'll continue to be a good little girl so Santa will bring her lots of fun toys.

Thanksgiving and Deer

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving in Johnson Creek with Seth's family. It was so nice to visit with family. Norah got to play with cousin Henry. It was fun to see her reaction to him. She seemed interested for a little while and then she kind of had a "whatever" look on her face. It makes us look forward to Christmas time when we get to see the Bergs and all of the Jaegers.

(Don't worry, she only scratched his head once and pulled his hair twice as we were trying to get the picture.)

Norah had fun playing in the box from Grandma Jaeger's new TV.

Seth is also very excited. On Saturday he got his first buck, an 8 pointer! Norah and I are very proud.

Yeah Teeth!!

This past weekend was opening weekend for gun deer hunting. So Seth went up to the cabin with his family. He said they had a great time even though they didn't see any deer. He thinks it's because they saw a lot of coyote or wolf tracks. Thankfully they didn't see any of those either. But Norah and I are glad that he's safe and sound here at home.

Norah and I didn't do much. We did a bunch of relaxing. We have some new news, Norah now has two teeth! Last Sunday we noticed that one bottom front tooth was starting to poke through and yesterday I saw that another bottom front tooth did too. Once I get a good toothy grin for a picture I'll post it.

Oh, and Happy Birthday Auntie Rachel Berg!!

Visitors on Saturday

We had a very nice weekend. On Saturday Grandma and Grandpa Jaeger came up to Bloomer for a visit. It was great to see them and of course they loved seeing Norah. They even brought Tucker along. As you'll see in the picture he got to stay in his kennel for the day on the porch. Our house was even happy they came. Grandpa gave our plumbing a little TLC. We were sad to see them go, but we will be seeing them soon over Thanksgiving.
On Sunday we had to make an important phone call to Arkansas. It was Papa Charlie's 97th birthday (Norah's Great Great Grandpa!!). We were happy to hear that he was having a nice day and we were glad we could make it a little brighter with a phone call.

Growing Big & Strong

Norah had her doctors visit this morning. She did very well, even when she got her 4 shots. Norah is growing and learning a lot. She now is 26 1/4 inches long and is 15 pounds 3 ounces. Now, if only she would be a better napper.

A Party & Six Months Old

This past Sunday the school threw a tailgate party for the Packer-Viking game. Since Norah and myself are not a fan of either team we decided to dress up for a team we do cheer for, Michigan. Only one person reminded us that it was Sunday, not Saturday. Seth didn't join in on the Michigan fun, but he did have fun supporting the Packers.

Norah had fun playing with a future classmate, Joel. It was fun watching them trying to grab each others hands.

And yes, Norah is 6 months old today. We are taking some new pictures tomorrow and are going to the doctor on Thursday. So we'll be able to give you her stats later in the week.
